Rick Bowers

Rick Bowers is a native Howard County resident. He and his wife Sheryle have been married for 28 years and have three children and twin grandsons. Together they co-pastor The Living Stone House of Worship which they founded in 1998.

Rick serves his community by serving on the board of directors of several prominent organizations such as; The Community Action Council of Howard County, an organization serving the vast needs of the poor county wide. He is the Chairman of the Board of Defend Maryland Marriage, a group organized to defend the institution of traditional Marriage in Maryland and he is the chairman of Courtesy on the Road, an organization that rewards high school drivers for safe driving. Rick also serves nationally as the Governmental Affairs Director of World Ministry Fellowship and on their Advisory Board. In 2006 Rick ran a strong race for a seat in the Maryland House of Delegates in District 13.

Rick has appeared on Fox TV, as well as several local talk radio shows. He has been interviewed by the New York Times, Washington Times, Baltimore Sun and many other local weekly papers. Rick has also written articles which have been published and circulated nationally. The Institute on the Constitution awarded Rick with the Rev. John Peter Muhlenberg award in 2007. This award is presented annually to the Pastor who has demonstrated leadership not only within the church community, but also in politics.
